Geoff Evans (Autism Consultant) is our next speaker at The Wave Centre in Maryport on Monday, 12th September. For those of you who attended our April seminar you will be aware that Geoff has over 30 years experience of working & helping those effected by autism and at the moment he is probably one of the most sought after speakers in the country. On this occasion Geoff plans to speak about behavioural and sensory issues as well as anxiety and stress. This session is ideal for parents, carers and professionals. Thanks to everyone that attended last Thursday's Autism seminar, we hope you found it useful and educational. Lynne moxon, as always was superb, it's easy to see why she one of the countries leading autism speakers.

Due to a bad weather forcast we sadly had to cancel our fun day last Sunday. Apologies to all those who had planned to attend but we really couldn't let it go ahead in the rain.  We plan to re arrange this and an alternative date will be announced very shortly.  We hope to see you all then.

This years childrens fun day will be held on Sunday, 24th July at Maryport Rugby League Club between 1pm -4pm. Lots of childrens attractions including slides, bouncy castles, donkey rides, owls, the mobile zoo and much much more. Come along and enjoy. 

Due to demand, we are very pleased to confirm that Lynne Moxon will be returning to The Wave Centre @ Maryport to provide a training day on 21st July. Lynne is a Consultant Psychologist to Education Services for People with Autism and a senior lecturer at Northumbria University and was recently a guest speaker at our Autism Seminar in April. On this occasion Lynne's presentation will be on Autism: Adolescence & Adulthood : Promotion of Positive Self Image & Good Mental Health. Literature and the presentation will be available to view prior to the training day here on our website very shortly. This session will primarily be aimed at professionals but families are welcome to attend if they wish. On this occasion we will need to charge a small fee of £10 per ticket to cover costs which will also include lunch.
