We have Autism expert Geoff Evans returning to Maryport on Thursday, 20th September 
Geoff will be doing a two hour talk on "Managing Challenging Behaviour at Home"

He will be doing the same talk twice, once in the afternoon 1pm - 3pm and the other in the early evening 6.30pm to 8.30pm. The talk is open to everyone and will be of great benefit to anyone that cares for or looks after an autistic child

We heard a 45 minute, scaled down version of the talk at the Autism show in Manchester recently and it was brilliant, very well put over by Geoff, anyone who attended our previous seminars with Geoff, will know how knowledgeable he is and why he’s one of the most sought after speakers in the country

This event is being brought to you Owl Blue and once again supported by the fantastic SHOUT Family support group.

Do require advice on Autism?  Owl Blue Children’s Charity alongside Autism Support Cumbria provide one-to-one sessions for people in need of support and advice. These sessions are held every second and fourth Wednesday of the month and are open to anyone with any worries or concerns regarding Autism regardless of having an official diagnosis. These sessions are completley confidential and are held at our Maryport offices by Amanda Denwood BA, PGCE, NPQH PG Cert (Autism Support Cumbria).

 Consultations are completely confidential and free of charge as they are funded by the Owl Blue Children’s Charity.

Geoff Evans (Autism Consultant) is our next speaker at The Wave Centre in Maryport on Monday, 12th September. For those of you who attended our April seminar you will be aware that Geoff has over 30 years experience of working & helping those effected by autism and at the moment he is probably one of the most sought after speakers in the country. On this occasion Geoff plans to speak about behavioural and sensory issues as well as anxiety and stress. This session is ideal for parents, carers and professionals. Due to a bad weather forcast we sadly had to cancel our fun day last Sunday. Apologies to all those who had planned to attend but we really couldn't let it go ahead in the rain.  We plan to re arrange this and an alternative date will be announced very shortly.  We hope to see you all then.



This years childrens fun day will be held on Sunday, 24th July at Maryport Rugby League Club between 1pm -4pm. Lots of childrens attractions including slides, bouncy castles, donkey rides, owls, the mobile zoo and much much more. Come along and enjoy.
